Recent projects and updates:

  • After having submitted photos for Everyday Epiphanies, I got in!  Sign up for for their sample pack and you'll see a few of my pics.
  • I'm figuring out how to make my new Nikon work.  For my Lowcountry article photos, I use Jillian Waltzer
  • It's been many years since I've written anything for publication (other than an occasional op-ed) and I've started sending queries again.
  • I'm taking over as treasurer for at least two groups here in Yuba-Sutter for the upcoming year.
  • I finally painted a new Saint!  Saint Martin of Tours.  He's a tiny painting - well, for me, anyway - only 16x20.  I donated him to an auction fundraiser and my beloved Vance bought him back for me.  I picked up a bunch of assorted smaller canvases and am pondering what to do with them.  More saints?  Lily J's Laundry Day?  Hrm...
  • And I've updated this site with a new look and a few more links.

And if you didn't read some of our adventures from Costa Rica last summer, check out my travel blog - though it's waiting for more updates.  I like the blog format, but internet access was spotty for me down in Costa Rica and I still relied on my beloved notebook throughout the trip.

Speaking of notebooks, I have ditched Moleskine permanently as my go-to journal of choice.  I now use EcoSystem journals, produced right here in the United States.  Same price point, but instead of being made in China, they're from the US and you can track where all the parts of your journal came from.... plus, it does have the handy back pocket like Moleskine.
